I just want to point out that I know nothing about Mr Fing's claim of "pedos chill in chattor and do illegal". If I did become aware of such activity, I would be required to deal with it by law. Some of my options would include:
As most people know, my goal with hosting ChatTor is to avoid going to jail. If that requires working with LEA to make persistent abusers leave my chat and limit my legal risk as a service host, I may decide to do so. Rest assured, if LEA wants me to add mass surveillance features to my code such as chat logging or having a list of all open rooms and users, I will shut down ChatTor and change my focus to providing the source code.
However, the ideal solution is for people to just respect my 1 rule and to use other chatrooms (or even use my code on their own server) for needs that violate my one and only rule. As I said at the start of this comment, to the best of my knowledge, I know of no illegal activity taking place on ChatTor, and it will stay that way so long as I remain the owner of ChatTor.
